The meeting was called to order at 5:40 p.m. by President Rich Burleson. Board members present were Larry Baker, Kathy Seidling, RC Wilkins and Marty Burleson. Board Advisor, Beryl Baker was also present. Board member Donna Murphy was absent.
Minutes of the October 1, 2019 meeting were approved upon the motion of Larry and seconded by RC. The Treasurer’s Report was accepted upon the motion of Marty and seconded by RC.
Larry has received a copy of the insurance coverage of Kenneth Samento. We will contact our insurance company to contact his insurance regarding the repairing of the damage to the handrail.
Larry has been working on the floor in the theater. A color has been selected. After the play and the theater is not in use we can begin the project.
The Board is looking for new Board members.
The Count Dracula play has been rescheduled for November 15, 16, 17 and 22, 23, and 24. The license for “Fruitcakes” has been canceled. A Holiday variety show has been discussed as an alternative for December.
Rich and Marty handed out candy for the Trunk or Treat on Main Street.
The special FACT meeting of October 15, 2019 was reviewed.
The play committee met with Kathy Herrin on October 30th. Kathy will be directing “Fools” which will be held February 21-23 and February 27-March 1.
Kathy Madonna’s resignation was accepted upon the motion of RC and seconded by Marty.
RC recorded the radio spot today. He promoted the “Count Dracula” performance.
Rural Philanthropy Days Program meeting is Thursday the 7th in Coal Creek. Michelle Hyatt was planning to get the information.
Florence High School has a Community Service program for the students. The Rialto will participate in this program. RC will coordinate the work plans.
On October 16, Marty and Rich attended a meeting for Colorado ReFUND for non-profits. We will be receiving promotional materials to advertise this program. Taxpayers can donate their tax return or a portion of it to a non-profit of their choice.
Get the floor finished! We also need to design the Green Room and the cost. Walls of auditorium: sheet rock, electrical, paint, and molding. Need to add an electrical circuit breaker in the concession room. Options for stairways down from the balcony to the alley and make a decision about the ceiling of hallway to restrooms!
The next meeting will be called as needed.
Rocky Mountain Bank and Trust will be hosting a Cyber Security program on November 7 from 6-8 p.m. It is free to anyone who is interested in attending.
Tentative Play dates and events for 2020 were reviewed.
There being no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
