Auction for Rialto a huge success

More than $3,000 was counted by the end of the day at the recent auction held at the Rialto Theater in Florence. The fundraiser was deemed highly successful by the board of directors. Both objectives were met; raise funds by selling all of the antiques, collectibles and donated items that had been collected and stored through the years.

Board President Dick Baker said, “This was a tremendous start to Act Two of Restoring the Rialto. I’m proud that all of the new board members, spouses and many community members played an important part in the day’s activities.” Many visitors toured the grand facility and saw firsthand exactly what has been accomplished with infrastructure improvements and what remains to be done and many left cash donations without participating in the auction.

A special thanks to the many Florence and Fremont County merchants and donors for contributing to the success of the event, including Bill Price Auctions, Twin Enviro, Florence Family Dentistry, Florence Chamber of Commerce – Steam Punk, Florence Rotary, Florence Masonic Lodge and Fremont County Airport and others.
