The Rialto Theater is hosting a Children’s Theater Program July 24-Aug 4. This talented class of budding thespians will be presenting “Stone Soup” as the capstone of this experience on Aug 5 @ 2pm.

There will be a Students’ Performing Arts Showcase, including: improv bits, dialogue, instrumentals, and voice performances.
Additionally, the respected dance instructors at Trevarah Studio in Canon City will be working with the students on a choreographed dance routine that will be performed as part of the Showcase.

We are very excited to have such a variety of entertainment available for this final performance for these kids. Come support them!

The Theater Program is directed by Sharon Whelan, Assisted By Sue Haws and Theater Intern Jenelle Carrico.

“Stone Soup” is a beloved folktale often credited as European, but is also thought to have originated in the Far East.
Synopsis:
A sad and shattered town is visited by strangers, who seem to want the small amount of food there… or do they want to give the town’s people a gift?

Tickets are $10 online or at the box office before the performance.
(Tickets will not be available at our usual outlets due to the short lead-time for this performance)
