At the conclusion of the Children’s Summer Theater Camp, the Rialto Junior Players will present “The Ugly Duckling”. This is a humorous audience participation play; run, and acted by kids. This adaptation by Kevin M. Reese of the classic children’s fairy tale takes you through the challenges of being different and how perseverance can lead you on a path of discovery and beauty.

“The Ugly Duckling” will be directed by Michelle Hyatt who is conducting The Children’s Theater Summer Camp. The children from the Summer Theater Camp will be acting, building the set, and learning about stage craft. Come join us for the fun.

Synopsis:
Everyone thinks the little new-born is just plain ugly. He doesn’t look like the others, he doesn’t talk like the others, and he certainly doesn’t act like the others. He is just so different in so many ways – and on a farm, different isn’t so good. Well, our hero soon helps everyone learn an important lesson about fitting in, and how, sometimes, the smallest person can be the biggest bully
