World Dance Festival – Sept 30, 2023

AuroTejas Hemsell, an amazing artist from India who currently teaches at The Shakti Dance School in Colorado Springs, will present a World Dance Festival at the Rialto on September 30.
You’ll see, hear and experience Japanese Taiko Drumming, Brazilian Samba, Polynesian Hula, an East Indian Classical Temple Dance and more.
Tejas studies, performs and teaches Odissi, East Indian Classical dance from Orissa. Odissi is a sacred and spiritual dance originally only performed in temples. Odissi is an ancient art dating back to the 2nd Century BC. It is a lyrical dance which evokes the water element with fluid and graceful movements. Tejas has dedicated her life to the study and performance of Indian Classical Dance.

Doors open at 6:30 pm, the show starts at 7 pm.

Tickets are $15 for Adults and $12 for children

NOTE: Online ticket sales close 4 hours before showtime.  Unsold tickets are picked up from the outlets on the morning of the show. (This does not mean we are sold out!)
